Savannah Safaris’ Silver option puts South Africa’s superlative wildlife at the very heart of its planning. For guests whose time is limited, or who have visited the country before and are in search of a more rarefied and intuitive experience, a week in one of the four beautifully appointed chalets at Savannah Lodge should fulfil all their expectations – and more. We are based in a private game reserve within the Pilanesberg Wildlife Park and with fewer vehicles passing through, lion, elephant, and other members of the celebrated Big 5 venture about more freely. Our ranger-guides use their own instincts and skills and don’t rely on reported sightings from other trackers – they have their radios switched off so they can concentrate on our guests’ interests.
When you are not out on our morning and evening safari drives, there are delicious meals provided by our gourmet chef for you to enjoy as well as all the facilities around the Lodge. Designed to the highest ecological standards, there are beautiful gardens to wander through, with shady terraces, a spa pool, and a swimming pool. Our attentive staff are on hand and it is the people we work with as well as the animals we observe and protect which make a Savannah Safaris vacation so special.


  • 7 nights of five-star accommodation comprising two x 4-person chalets and two x 2-person chalets

  • Arrive Monday 2pm afternoon, depart the following Monday morning 10am

  • Two safari drives (morning and evening) per day are included, Tuesday to Sunday. Drives are led by our own experienced ranger-guide and use our own purpose-built vehicle.

  • All meals at Savannah’s private lodge, prepared by our professional chef.

  • Two meals at high quality restaurants within Pilanesberg


  • Breakfast, mid-morning coffee, other refreshments etc. as appropriate.

  • Wine, spirits and soft drinks served and freely available from our open bar

  • All appropriate facilities at the communal chalet including Dining Area, Lounge, Bar and Pool Table. Outside terraces and furniture, spa pool, swimming pool and braai bar-b-cue

  • Daily housekeeping and cleaning by our maids, pool and grounds maintained by our gardener
