Savannah Safaris is owned and operated by Abrie van Vuuren who was born and raised in the area and has hunted from a very early age. Safaris are conducted in a very personalized manner and every client is attended to individually. Hunting groups are kept separate, with hand picked professional hunters directing each hunt.

Savannah Safaris is known for rifle as well as bow hunting.

Savannah Safaris consists of 15 000 acres of hunting area in the Limpopo Province. Aditionally, to ensure that our clients receive only the ultimate quality trophies, hunting is carried out in other provinces of South Africa and in neighboring countries such as Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Mozambique.

Savannah Safaris offers clients a vast range of species to choose from including the Big Five.

Savannah Safaris uses only the most professional techniques during the preparation of trophies with specialized skinning staff taking care of trophies. At the end of each hunt, Savannah Safaris ensures that trophies are transported to a recommended taxidermist for all the necessary treatment which guarantees that a trophy is shipped and delivered in spectacular condition.

The comfort of Savannah Safaris’ clients is at all times a focus area. Air-conditioned vehicles will pick clients up from the airport and a light aircraft also makes up part of the fleet.

Photographic and general tours

Savannah Safaris offers its clients more than just the kill. Extensive effort is put into tours to exceed client’s expectations. A photo safari can be combined with a hunting safari and/or a general tour to ensure our clients explore Africa at its best.

Limpopo Province

Savannah Safaris is situated approximately  hours north of OR Thambo Airport. This area is better known as the bushveld and is famous for its vast variety of game and uality trophies. Savannah is malaria free and hunting season extends from May to September. Temperatures range between 40° and 50° F at night and 80° to 90° F during the day. This is the dry season which makes hunting an exceptional experience.
